Behemoth Roadmap Trailer 🠔 – YouTube

Indie studio The Behemoth has announced a series of updates and releases for its older games. The development team, which has over 20 years of experience, will be revisiting its games Castle Crashers and Battleblock Theatre in particular. Castle Crashers will receive new DLC and a visual makeover. Battleblock Theatre will be receiving a nebulously named “Quality of Life Update” that I think we can safely assume will include some quality of life updates to the now decade-old game.

The trailer announcing this “Behemoth Roadmap” is done in true Behemoth style, with well-animated, weird, talkative characters in absurd situations. Like getting stuck in traffic! How silly. I'm sure that's never happened to me.

“We're sending a big BAAAAAAAWK (translation: thank you so much) to all of the chicks around the world who have supported us over the past 21 years. These updates are for YOU and we can't wait to share this new content with you as we begin development on our next title,” the publisher said in an accompanying statement.

The Behemoth has been a benchmark indie developer for the past 20 years, starting in the era of browser-based flash games and evolving into the nascent Xbox Live Arcade indie scene and blossoming in the Steam era. Their most notable games have been Alien Hominid, Castle Crashers, Battleblock Theater, and Pit People.

The trailer also teases more updates coming to Battleblock Theater beyond a simple quality of life update, which Behemoth isn't ready to announce. There's also a tease that something, of some sort, is coming in the future for the tactics game. People of the pit.

There is a detached trailer for the Castle Crashers Painter Boss DLC.
