Bluetooth on a Budget: Bluetooth Headphones and Earbuds Under $200

It seems like a necessary feature on almost every new headset is Bluetooth capability. However, when a pair of headphones does They have this feature, the price is incredibly high and seems unattainable. Is there a way to get affordable headphones and get all the benefits of Bluetooth?

The answer is yes. Bluetooth doesn’t automatically mean super expensive, as there are plenty of name brand options that don’t cost a fortune. Below is a list of some Bluetooth models that cost less than $200. We’ve included both headphones and earbuds, in case you were in one or the other market. This isn’t a comprehensive list of what’s available, but just some of our top picks in this price range.

Headphones

Sennheiser ACENTUM – $179.95

A better known model from Sennheiser is the IMPULSE Headphones. These are excellent sounding headphones, but the $300+ price tag is a bit off-putting. That's where the ACCENTUMs come in. ACCENT It's a less expensive model that has a lot of good qualities and can provide a good listen for half the cost. You get many of the same features and notes of the MOMENTUM but save a little money. ACCENTUM Morewhich offers slightly higher quality sound compared to the ACCENTUM, costs $50 more and is technically beyond your budget. If you are willing to spend a little more than your fair share, I highly recommend checking out these models.

Strauss & Wagner ANCBT501 – $129.95

This brand is known for its numerous adapters and cables that you can get to enhance your listening experience; it's a bit ironic that they end up on a list of the best options in a wireless environment. ANCBT501 Personally, I enjoyed the comfort and sound signature that was applied to my favorite tracks. They have a lot to offer and from a brand like Strauss and Wagner, you know you're going to get a good product. It even offers wired listening, which is a nice feature for people who like to switch back and forth.

Final Audio UX3000: $149.95

I’m a big fan of Final Audio’s sound signature, so it makes perfect sense that a pair of them would end up on my list. The UX3000 are an excellent pair of headphones that have very accurate imaging and an impressively wide soundstage. There’s a nice balance between the highs and lows, which is sometimes difficult with noise cancellation. There is an older model, the UX3000. UX2000which also sells for under $200. Listening to both, I prefer the sound of the UX3000. Still, either one is a great option for listening to music at an affordable price.

Audio-Technica ATH-M20xBT Headphones: $79.00

Audio-Technica is a trusted brand with many models for all types of listeners. People go to the M50x for DJ and the M40x is a great option for mixing. Many Audio-Technica Mx models do not come with Bluetooth, so ATH-M20xBT Wireless Headphones These are definitely ones that people would want to get their hands on. You get a balanced sound signature that can be applied in many environments. These even cost less than $100, making them an attractive offering for those looking for a good deal.

JBL Live 770NC – $149.95

JBL is a trusted and well-known brand, so recommending them is an easy choice. 770NC They come in a few different colors and provide powerful bass for those who prefer deep bass. The tight fit may be uncomfortable for some people, as it was for me, but I think that's more of a testament to their stability during use. They have other options in the sub-$100 range, but these were the best for me.

Headphones

ZE3000 Final Audio – $149.00

Another Final Audio product has made it to the list, this time in the form of headphones. ZE3000 It is in the middle range of three different models. There is the ZE2000which is the older and slightly cheaper model. They have a similar physical design, but the sound signatures have some notable differences. Also, the more expensive model ZE8000 It comes with an interesting stem-shaped body and has a much improved sound profile. If we compare all three, the ZE3000 is a great middle ground between the other two products. You get the smaller design of the ZE2000 with improved sound quality that is closer to that of the ZE8000. It really is the best of both worlds!

ag TWS09R – $99.99

These are a great option for people looking for a price point close to $100. from TWS09R This is a good quality Bluetooth product that does exactly what you expect. There are no extra features, just good sound for a reasonable price. Their sound is accurate thanks to Final Audio tuning, making them a reliable option for half the cost you'd expect. You can get them in a variety of colors, and their small, lightweight design makes them easy to travel with. The hardware itself feels a little cheap, but the sound is good for a reasonable cost.

Denon PerL – $199.00

This is at the top end of the budget, so it's hard to say “yeah, this is under 200”. Still, Denon PerL It offers a lot for $200, so it's worth checking out as it has a lot to like. The custom hearing profile, responsive touch controls, and an expansive sound signature are all appealing qualities. This is the standard version of the earbuds, as there is a PerL Pro which cost $100 more. They offer even more quality and additional features, such as spatial audio and enhanced noise cancellation. If you are willing to pay a little more than your budget, I highly recommend checking them out.

PSB M4U TWM: $199.00

PSB is better known for its speakers than its headphones, but its few forays into the world of headphones are quite interesting. They attempt to recreate the sound you would hear in a room with a pair of their high-quality speakers. It's effective and lets you listen to the tracks you love from a new perspective. The microplanar drivers in the M4U TWM They're an interesting build choice that sets them apart from the competition. Like the Denon PerL, these come with a personal sound feature, this time from Audiodo™. They're also near the top of the range, but given the brand they come from, they're a rare find and a real bargain.

Summary

Bluetooth headphones don't have to come with a high price tag. Whether it's over-ear headphones or wireless headphones, it's possible to find something that fits your budget. If you stay in the budget range, you may find your options limited, and the features of the headphones may be limited. If you want all the extra features that come with them, you may want to consider increasing your budget to a little over $200. If you're just looking for good sound and the features seem like a hindrance, there are plenty of options available to you.

I highly recommend that you come and try out the headphones you're interested in. Not everyone hears the same way, so your preferred choice may be different from someone else's. What may look good on paper may end up disappointing you, and if you do, you may end up with something completely different than what you had in mind.
