Google’s latest Gemini features are now available in Gmail for the web, Android, and iOS, and one of its standout features is an AI tool that makes it easier to polish up email drafts.

This new feature allows users to include preliminary notes and Gemini Artificial Intelligence then transforms them into a sleek, formal email with just one click or tap.

Gmail's “Refine My Draft” tool used to streamline email writing with options like “Formalize,” “Elaborate,” “Shorten,” and the now-removed “I'm Feeling Lucky.” That means the latter has been replaced by “Polish.”

However, the new option is only available to Gemini subscribers. Google Workspace or Google One AI Premium. Google says it will be automatically enabled for all eligible subscribers.

Additionally, Google has updated Gmail on Android and iOS by adding shortcuts directly into emails. This makes it easier for users to find and use AI-powered writing tools while composing.

Shortcuts appear in your email draft when it's empty, next to the “Attach” icon. Simply tap them to launch the full “Help me write” experience and access all the AI ​​writing tools.

That said, the “Refine My Draft” shortcut appears below the email content when the draft is at least 12 words long. By swiping over this shortcut, you will have access to the full set of “Refine My Draft” tools.

Please note that these features are only available to Google Workspace users who have the Gemini Business or Enterprise add-on, the Gemini Education or Education Premium add-on, or the Google One AI Premium plan.
