Capcom Next: Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster out September 19, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess demo now available

Experience a fresh new world from Capcom, today

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is a brand new Japanese-inspired IP from Capcom coming to PS5 and PS4 that continues the spirit of innovative new games from the company’s 40-year history. To get you ready for the game’s release on July 19, a demo for the game is available today!

In the demo, take your first steps into the desecrated Mount Kafuku and experience firsthand the game's blend of action and strategy in a content-packed demo.

In addition to the chance to try out the game’s unique blend of play styles, this demo also has a unique twist. We’re challenging the community to collectively complete two challenges to earn free rewards in the full game for all players. You’ll want to play and work as a team to achieve these, as these rewards include collaboration content with the 2006 action-adventure classic, Okami.

In the first challenge, we're asking the community to defeat Seethe creatures and clean up the pollution to earn 1 billion in-game crystals. These crystals are earned during the normal course of the game, so play through the demo and defeat Seethe as much as you can. Upon completing this task, all players will earn two Okami-inspired rewards: a costume for Soh inspired by the Heavenly Brush God Amaterasu, and the Thunder Edge weapon inspired by one of Amaterasu's Divine Instruments. Awoooooo~

Additionally, if you find all 15 Lucky Mallet Easter eggs hidden in the demo and share them on social media, you’ll get the Waka costume for Yoshiro and the Okami BGM pack, which lets you listen to a collaboration soundtrack with Okami while playing Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. Follow the official Kunitsu-Gami account on social media for details and updates on the campaign!

The game is all about working together with villagers to clean up the world, so we hope you feel the spirit of collaboration as you play and earn these Okami rewards.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is now available to pre-order on PS5 and PS4, and the worldwide release is quickly approaching – Friday, July 19! Everyone on the team can’t wait for everyone to try out the game and experience its unique gameplay for themselves.

Frank is back in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster

This game is far from dead, as this new version has been brought back to life with Capcom's RE Engine, bringing improved graphics, revamped lighting and shadows, and character models in up to 4K resolution and 60 FPS.

If you're new to Dead Rising, the story is set in Willamette, Colorado. Freelance photojournalist Frank West sets out on a road trip in search of a big scoop and finds himself at the sprawling Willamette Parkview mall engulfed in a zombie outbreak with just 72 hours to uncover the truth. Created with a love of B-movie horror films, the original Dead Rising is beloved for its wry, earnest tone, dark humor, quirky characters, and unique gameplay mechanics.

In the game, manage your time wisely to explore the various areas of the mall, filled with various goods that can prove useful in fighting off hordes of zombies or help lead survivors to safety from the dangers of the mall and its inhabitants. Use everything you can as weapons, wear outrageous outfits, and unleash death-defying moves as you enjoy the over-the-top world of Dead Rising!

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster includes a number of tweaks and quality of life changes to make this updated version of the game perfect for new platforms. Below is a quick list of some of them.

  • The ability to move while aiming.
  • Improved controls and user interface
  • Beautify your photos with filters
  • The autosave feature keeps your progress up to date. Manual saves are also supported.
  • All NPC and survivor interactions are fully voiced.
  • …and more

Pre-orders for Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster begin today. The Digital Deluxe version includes 17 additional costumes for Frank, as well as 17 special background music tracks. Pre-order the game to receive 3 additional costumes, including Frank West’s original look from the 2006 game, the costume of Chuck Greene, the protagonist of Dead Rising 2, and a costume for the mall’s mascot, the Willamette Parkview Mall Bee. Pre-orders also include three additional background music tracks.

We’ll have more to share about the game in the coming days and weeks leading up to its digital release on September 19.
