We did a complete review of the REDMAGIC 9 Pro when it was launched in December 2023. Eight months later, REDMAGIC launches version 9 S Pro.
Behind this “S” there is an update of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 3rd Genchip which is now a “leading version” of the chip, and improved cooling.
The CPU is clocked at a maximum of 3.3GHz. to 3.4 GHZ maximum and the Ardeno 750 graphics chip is upgraded from 770 MHz up to 1000MHz.
The REDMAGIC phone has therefore received an update, but the Chinese brand has not changed the price. In fact, like its predecessor, it is available for 100 euros. 649€ for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version, and 799€ for the 16/512 GB version.
Since we still have the 9 Pro in our hands, we decided to compare the two smartphones to check the performance improvements.
