The idea of the server – TPS – Spanish

We dedicate this post* to the idea of “server”, approaching it from an etymological point of view, as we had already announced some time ago when exploring The idea of man.

Let us begin with a firm point, which must remain engraved in us, because it is the interpretive key to all reflection: the etymology of “servant” is the same as “sun”.

Be like the ray of sunshine, like the song of the bird.

(Agni Yoga Series, Leaves from Morya's Garden I § 163)

“Servidor” derives from late Latin server, which has its origin in the verb of classical language service/air“serve”, “care”: the word service is published in the Glossary (in Italian only), which we will study in more detail here.

The word is developed from the Indo-European root *SWṚ -, which the linguist Franco Rendich considers to be composed of the following sound elements: “the arrival (ṛ/ar) of the good (his) like light and sound”, “shine”, “turn your eyes toward the light”, “look”, “play”, “sing”.

It is therefore an etymon that expresses primarily the idea of light and at the same time the idea of sound.

Ancient languages bear witness to derivations from this original strain, giving life to the word “sun”: svar (Sanskrit), Helios (Greek), Sun (Latin).

We note that in Sanskrit, svar also meant “sky,” and that in Greek, the verb hopao, “to see” originally meant “to connect with the light of the sun”, as it derived from the same etymon: in the development of the language, the s Has fallen, replaced by the hard spirit.

Similarly, the Latin language has originated the verb servo/servewhich had numerous meanings: to watch, to observe, to preserve, to guard, to watch over, to save.

We then realize that the Latin verbs service, “to serve”, “to care for”, servo, “to observe”, and also save, “save” are correlated terms that originate from an identical root that expresses the connection with sunlight, with the act of observing, and that the nouns Servus, server Originally it expressed the idea of “one who watches, one who guards.”

To complete, let us also observe that the same root *SWṚ- has given life to words that express the idea of sound and song: for example, the Sanskrit *SWṚ- Dream, “sound”, from the Greek effort, “Singing in honor of the gods”, from Latin whisper, “whispering, bees buzzing, humming.” (1)

The diamond guarded by the root of the word “servant”, when detected, makes its facets shine, indicating the one who watches, who observes, who guards, who sings hymns, who is in contact with the light of the sun: in short, an Agent of Light and Sound.

Other iridescences are radiated by the ramifications that the root has produced in modern languages: for example, English has developed the noun pavilionThe German has created the verb where, “defend”, and the French have extracted the verb guerrilla, heal; are words that, in different but related ways, express the idea of protecting.

(…) It is time to say to the Light: “I come as your helper, and I will extend my hand to the sun itself. As long as the silver thread remains intact, the stars themselves will be my armor.”

And so, humanity has been ordered to follow a simple path. At last, the idolatry of symbols is being erased by the ray of Light. And we will be allowed not to be gods, but collaborators. This is the dictate of simplicity. (Leaves from Morya's Garden) II § 270)

The purpose of these notes is to help us become increasingly aware of the role we play as “servants,” to perform it with increasing clarity, responsibility and happiness.

As members of the New group of world servers (NGWS), we know that we are intermediaries between Humanity and the Hierarchythat we are therefore called to a global task, and that all work is based on the assumption of a hierarchy vision of Reality, in which each unit of life is placed at the service of the most evolved, to contribute to the common and progressive Good, in greater consciousness and freedom.

Trans-Himalayan esoteric teachings convey to us that service is a scientific process that reveals the faculties of the soul, that the law of the same name is the 3Third among the seven laws of soul life, designed to meet the demands of the evolutionary Plan, and which is sister to the 5thHe law of Progress or Group Elevation, fundamental reference for the subjective and intuitive work of world groups, united by the will to Good, who embrace the idea of the Only Planetary Server and in anticipation of 2025 are becoming active through intergroup cooperation even at the manifest level.

There are innumerable connections between the NGWS and the Light: the Teachings refer to this Group as the Ajna Centre or “inner directing eye” of our Planet, and “it is ruled by Taurus, and that divine Taurean energy brings to it “illumination and the attainment of vision.” This Group is, figuratively speaking, the “bull, speeding forward in a straight line with its single eye fixed on the goal and emitting light.” But what is that goal? It is not the goal of self-illumination, for that is too far away; it is the goal of providing a centre of light within the world of men and of holding the vision before the sons of men. (…)” (2)

To further broaden our vision, we are helped by an indication from the Teaching: “(…) Service is essentially a scientific mode of expressing love-wisdom under the influence of one or another of the seven rays, according to the soul ray of the disciple who serves. The whole problem concerns our planetary Logos. It might be said (for the sake of comprehensibility of our subject) that the evolutionary process—from the standpoint of the average human being—consists in making the non-sacred planet, our Earth, responsive to cosmic impacts, thus bringing about greater interrelationship and inner integration in the logoic body of expression. (…)” (3)

At the same time we are advised to remember this other indication:

“(…) All who respond to the life-giving force of Aquarius and the light-giving force of Taurus can and will work in the New Group of World Servers, even if they have no occult knowledge and have never heard of their fellow workers under that name. Do not forget this.” (4)

By recognizing ourselves as agents of light and sound, embracing the hierarchical perspective that on this planet urges us to serve all the kingdoms of nature –just as the sun does– and feeling the responsibility and the urgent need to collaborate in the divine Plan, we perceive that we are collaborators in the service of creation.

We can then truly rejoice when we hear the song of St. Francis, who stripped life of all external forms to clothe it in God:

(…) Laudato si', mi' Signore, cum tutte le Tue Creature, especially messor lo frate Sole, lo qual è iorno et allumini noi per lui.
And it is beautiful and radiant with great splendore: of You, Altissimo, bears significance. (…)

(Praised be you, my Lord, with all your creatures, especially with Lord Brother Sun, who is the day and through whom you give us light.
And he is beautiful and radiant with great splendor; and he has a likeness to you, Most High.
)

and by paying attention to the voice of Agni Yoga:

The entire Universe is the Body of the Almighty,
and we express the mandate
From the top
manifestations of the Supreme Will.
The servant hopes in the Lord and the All-Merciful.
helps us find the best outfit for the Festival of Light. (…)

(Leaves from Morya's Garden I § 123)
