The Ryzen 9 9950X isn't even out yet and it's breaking records!

On the occasion of its Tech Day, AMD gave a brief overclocking demonstration of its upcoming Ryzen 9 9950X. The latter was pushed to 6.00 GHz and then tested in Cinebench r23 and wPrime. The least we can say is that there are record scores!

Ryzen 9 9950X: OC to 6.00 GHz by AMD teams!

Ryzen 9 9950X

Clearly, this is all a small show of force of what the future Reds processor is capable of. For example, in Cinebench R23, @stock, the CPU shows 41,924 cb in multi-thread mode. Then, using EXPO and PBO memory profiles, the score rises to 43895 cb. Using the Curve Shaper function, the score rises to 44,762 and then to 53,604 cb in OC with liquid nitrogen. It should be noted that this score is already worthy of a record, since the score for the 16-core category is 50,843 cb.

Another record was set by the wPrime 32m. The score in the 16-core category is 1.61 seconds. @stock the processor shows 1.72 seconds, while with an OC under nitrogen the score rises to 1.414 seconds – a new record, even though the processor has not yet been released.

Finally, it's worth noting that AMD's teams have indicated that the processor could easily exceed 6.3 GHz with further optimization. Clearly, there will be a lot to talk about in terms of overclocking at launch!
