Tynamo Community Day Guide in Pokémon Go

Pokémon Go is holding a Tynamo Community Day event on July 21st from 2pm to 5pm in your local time.

As expected with a Community Day event, Tinamo It will appear in large numbers and is very likely to appear shiny. There are also other bonuses and advantages that we have listed below.

How can I catch a shiny Tynamo?

According to old research from the now defunct website The Silph Road (via Wayback Machine), the shiny rates on Community Days are about 1 in 24, meaning that if you keep playing for the full three hours, you should find quite a few shiny Pokémon.

Shiny Tynamo, Eelektrik, and Eelektross in their normal forms in Pokémon Go. Shiny Tynamo becomes a bit more blue, Shiny Eelektrik takes on a neon green hue, and Shiny Eelektross becomes more green.

If you're short on time or Poké Balls, you can pop one Incensethen quickly Touch each tynamo to check for any that are shiny, and stay away from any that aren't. It's worth noting that any Tynamo you've already touched will be facing where your player is, so that should help identify which ones you've already marked.

What Community Day move does Tynamo's evolution learn from?

If you evolve Eelektrik into Eelektross between 2:00 PM and 10:00 PM in your local time, it will learn the Quick Move. volt switch.

If you don't manage to evolve it during this period, you'll likely be able to do so during a Community Day weekend event in December to get Volt Switch. If you don't want to wait, you can use a EliteTM To get the movement.

How is Eelektross doing in the meta?

As far as raids and gyms go, Eelektross isn't very good. The Ultra Beast Xurkitree, legendaries like Zekrom and Thundurus, and Mega Pokémon like Ampharos and Manectric all do more damage to it than Eelektross. Even if you don't have the legendaries, Mega Pokémon and Shadow Pokémon, Pokémon like Electivire, Magnezone, and Luxray do more damage than Eelektross.

In terms of PvP, there are plenty of Electric types that outclass Eelektross, so it's not really worth investing in.

How can I make the most of Tynamo Community Day?

The following bonuses will be active during Tynamo Community Day:

  • 14 Hatching distance of eggs placed in incubators during the event
  • Double candy for catching Pokémon
  • Trainers level 31+ have double the chance of getting XL Candy when catching Pokémon
  • The incense lasts three hours.
  • Lure modules last three hours
  • Tynamo makes special photobombs when taking snapshots
  • An additional special trade
  • Stardust cost halved for trading

That being said, you should definitely put your eggs in incubators, light some incense, and try to get your hands on some powerful tynamo.

Yes you can Mega Evolution Ampharos or ManectricYou will get additional Tynamo Candies for each catch.

On top of all this, Niantic is still running special four-star raids from 5-10pm, where if you beat the Eelektrik raid, Tynamo will spawn within a 300-meter radius around the gym for 30 minutes. These raids can't be done remotely. If the usual 2-5pm spawn boost doesn't get you the Tynamo you wanted, you can try to run a raid for another chance.
