(Computex) A little insight into the 9900X's gaming performance!

At Computex, AMD demonstrated the performance of its future Ryzen 9 9900X, the 12-core version. Its performance was measured on Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, all paired with an RX 7900 XTX.

For the occasion, TechpowerUp was able to witness a small demonstration of the performance of the future twelve-core processor in the game. The test was carried out in Avatar: Pandora's Borders, and the game ran at 1080p with the graphical details set to high. Paired with an RX 7900

By way of comparison, pointed out by @9550pro on Twitter, Tom's Hardware averaged 171 FPS with the same card paired with a Core i9 13900K. However, the graphical details were set to the presets on medium while the FSR3 was in quality mode.

Soon, users started finding these strange results and started sharing their findings. The question mark here is the 7900 XTX's score, which is too good for the RTX 4090… Ultimately, the question behind this is whether or not AMD enabled Frame Generation during its demo.
