When you think of Fractal Design, you probably think of their enclosures. Over the years, we've reviewed a handful of their enclosures and have always been impressed. Earlier this year at CES, Fractal told us that they would be releasing a product in a category they've never been in before. While I was expecting it to be a NAS designed as a A case from the North It ended up being a gaming chair. Literally everyone makes gaming chairs, but few do it well, so if anyone can do it well, it’s Fractal Design. The Fractal Design Refine has been designed not only for gamers, but for the office as well, taking inspiration from Scandinavian furniture design. Read on to see if this chair is the right fit!

Packaging and building the Refine fractal design
The Fractal Design Refine comes in a very large box. If you live alone, you may need someone to help you carry it in or up the stairs.
When we opened the box we found a very nice thank you note from Fractal with sketches of the chair.
When you open the box completely, you are greeted with a very large picture of the chair. When you turn it over, you have large assembly instructions, which is great.
Unboxing everything we have the backrest, seat assembly, armrests, gas lift, wheel base, swivel casters, a hardware box and the user guide.
I have to say that this is the easiest chair I have ever put together, be it a gaming chair or an office chair. The best thing is that the base of the chair already has the assembly. On most other chairs, you actually have to install it yourself. So, all you really have to do here is snap the caster wheels into the wheel base, install the gas lift, put the seat assembly on the gas lift, attach the armrests, and finally install the backrest. The chair assembly only took me about 10 minutes and there were only 8 screws to install in total!
