Waves of Hydrogen-alpha emission on the left frame this view of a pair of emission nebulae: Sharpless 2–115 at top right, and the small planetary nebula Sh 2–116 at bottom right. “I like the feeling of depth that the different cloud structures give to the image,” writes the photographer. “As a viewer, it seems like you are ascending or descending into the nebula.” The shot was taken with 17 hours of exposure in SHO and RGB filters with a 6-inch f/4 scope.
