Earlier this week, Motorola launched its foldables, the Razr 2024 and Razr Plus 2024, featuring massive displays powered by AI.
As anticipated and according to the most recent leaks, the Razr Plus 2024 comes with a Snapdragon 8s Generation 3 The chipset, 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, a 50 MP main camera and a 50 MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. However, the biggest advantage is its 4-inch pOLED cover display, which Motorola claims is the largest cover display on a device. Flip Phone still.
The internal pOLED display rolls out to a 6.9-inch 1080p panel with a 165Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3000 nits. Users can find all supported apps on the device's cover screen, including Google Assistant. The Razr Plus 2024 and Razr 2024 will be Available for pre-order on July 10 and will go on sale on July 24, with a retail price of $999 and $699, respectively.

Several people at Android Central and other tech enthusiasts within the industry were in for a surprise this week. Google sent out personalized invitations to its next “Made by Google” event, which this time will take place well before the fall.
The event will take place on August 13 (Tuesday) at Google headquarters in Mountain View. The keynote will begin at 10am PST, followed by a hands-on experience with the product.
While we have a clear idea of what to expect at this event, including the Pixel 9Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL, we anticipate that the Pixel Clock 3a new generation of Pixel Buds, Pixel Fold, and a new Pixel Tablet will also make their debut in August. On the software front, Android 15which is currently in beta, could also see an early launch as it is said to appear on the Pixel 9 series out of the box.
The invitation sent out by the search giant also states that Made by Google will showcase “the best of Google AI,” which could signify Gemini advancements to come. While it may seem odd that Google opted to launch its flagship products earlier this year, we think Google might be trying to optimize its product ads and beat its competitors with the kick-off event.
Registration for the event will begin on July 31.

“The next frontier of artificial intelligence on Galaxy is coming,” Samsung said at its press conference for Android Central. The company is scheduled to hold its next Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10 in Paris, France. The company says it is preparing to reveal the launch of its “cutting-edge innovations.”

On Tuesday (June 25), Canada's Amazon listing ended up showing off the rumored and upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 and its specifications.
Seen by passionategeekzThe listing shows the regular Bluetooth-enabled variant of the Galaxy Watch 7, which comes in at 40mm in size and is priced at CAD $358 (around $268). It further confirms that the smartwatch will have a round display and at least 128GB of storage. It will be powered by a 3nm SoC that promises to boost power efficiency and perform smoother operations across the board.
The leak claims the watch will have a BioActiveSensor that tracks health features like heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen levels (during workouts), sleep with sleep quality analysis, and more.

There is a debate surrounding the use of AI by students: “Is it safe to give them access and help them learn, or does AI basically make them lazy?” This week, Google wanted to add another leaf to that existing debate.
The company announced that it is preparing to bring Gemini to teenage students using school accounts in “more than 100 countries.” According to a Keyword PublishingThe company detailed that “in the coming months,” teenagers with the minimum required age (13) will be able to chat with Gemini through their school account.
Google states that Gemini capabilities will be disabled by default, but school administrators can enable them through the “Admin Console.” TO Next post states that students using Gemini through a school account will have controls in place to block inappropriate content.
Gemini will filter out “illegal or age-appropriate” substances from appearing in its results. Additionally, AI will fact-check a response when it is first prompted. It appears that Google is attempting to strike a middle ground between educators and students by enabling “teenage students to learn responsibly and confidently in an AI-first future.” How these schools will incorporate the power of AI into their curriculum remains to be seen.
