Nothing has announced a new phased firmware release for its flagship Phone 2 this week, including new features as well as improvements and bug fixes.

The update, called Nada OS 2.5.6comes just after the release of OS 2.5.5 in April, bringing ChatGPT Integration toward Phone 2. It also added talk functionality to the recent Ear and “Ear a” headphones. While the Phone 2 receives regular updates it is a welcome move by Nothing, its CEO Carl Pei has declared that its successor, the Phone 3, will not arrive this year, breaking the company's annual schedule of flagship launches. The CEO further mentioned that Nothing has been “designing and prototyping AI interactions,” which will likely be improved and seen in the Phone 3, whose launch has now been postponed to next year.
