According to Samsung, its 2023 lineup focused on improving the user experience by making complex technologies more intuitive and seamlessly integrated into people's lives, while delivering the impeccable picture and sound quality that consumers expect from Samsung displays.

At Samsung, we understand that technology should empower and enhance people’s lives, not complicate them.

By choosing Samsung, consumers can expect to experience an unparalleled level of wow factors, all while engaging in eco-friendly practices for a sustainable future.

– Jong-Hee (JH) Han, Vice President, CEO and Head of DX (Device eXperience) Division at Samsung Electronics

In his opening remarks, JH Han underlined the company’s commitment to technology and innovation, offering consumers the latest technologies that improve life. In particular, he introduced the five core pillars of SmartThings, which aim to offer greater convenience when setting up their smart homes.

  • Instant connection: SmartThings allows users to easily connect their devices in one step, allowing them to more easily enjoy the synergy created by Samsung devices.
  • Automated Connection: SmartThings automatically connects devices, such as TVs or smartphones, with other Samsung devices, such as your air conditioner, dryer, refrigerator and washing machine, eliminating the need for manual setup.
  • Center Everywhere: The IoT Hub is built into several Samsung products, including Samsung Smart TVs, making IoT setup a breeze.
  • Wide Compatibility: SmartThings goes beyond the Samsung ecosystem and allows devices from any brand to work together seamlessly thanks to the Home Connectivity Alliance and the international IoT communication standard, MATTER.
  • Security: With CC EAL 6+ certification, the new Samsung Knox Vault hardware chip encrypts all information on connected devices, ensuring the highest level of security and offering peace of mind to users.

Samsung also helped form the Home Connectivity Alliance and support MATTER, an international IoT communications standard, so the various smart devices in our homes can work together, regardless of brand.
