Seraphim chooses 11 startups for the 14th space accelerator

TAMPA, Fla. – Seraphim Space announced the 11 startups that have joined the 14th round of its networking and mentoring accelerator program, which it said Oct. 7 has helped companies raise more than $540 million since 2018.

The cohort comprises a diverse mix of early-stage space companies ranging from satellite broadband to orbital robotics and, for the first time, includes companies from Saudi Arabia, Chile and Turkey.

The 13-week program, which Seraphim runs with its US subsidiary Generation Space, began on September 9 and will culminate with an investor showcase on December 5.

“Space investment has remained strong despite a challenging funding environment for the broader technology sector,” Seraphim Space Enterprise managing director Alexander Holt said in a statement.

“Over the past 12 months, more than $8.5 billion has been invested in space-related startups, compared to $5.1 billion in the same period a year ago.”

To date, a total of 109 companies in 30 countries have participated in the company's biannual accelerator.
