These easy ones Five-Minute Science Experiments They are ideal when you need a quick scientific activity or demonstration but don't have much time to prepare or execute an investigation.
Every qQuick and easy science experiment It uses materials you probably already have and is quick and easy to prepare, carry out and clean up afterward.
Ten quick and easy science experiments
Test reaction time
Everything you need Test your reaction time is a ruler and a willing helper. This activity takes less than five minutes, even if you do it several times! If you don't have a ruler, print out my reaction time template and use that!

Make an optical illusion
TO basic optical illusion It's easy to create with paper, pens, and a straw or pencil. I also have a handy template you can use to make it even quicker.

Refraction inversion experiment
Use a simple glass of water to reverse writing or a drawing. This activity is simple but very impressive and can be adapted to different themes. My favorite is our Reversed signs in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

Is your arm span the same as your height?
Discover If your arm span is the same as your height With simple research. The best thing about this activity is that it doesn't require any resources!
Another similar idea is to exercise How many feet tall are you?.

Paper spinners
If you haven't made one yet paper spinning machineYou're missing out! Spinners are super easy to make. All you need is paper, scissors, and a paper clip, and they work every time!
We like to experiment with large and small spinners to find out which one falls the fastest.

Demonstration of ball fall by inertia
TO Demonstration of simple inertia Using a glass and a lemon takes just a few minutes and always gets a big thumbs up from the crowd.
Simply quickly toss the yellow card to the side and watch the lemon fall into the glass!

Make a rainbow
Did you know you can? make a rainbow Even on a cloudy day? You will need a prism for this, but these are inexpensive to buy.
If the sun is shining, you can use a hose to see a rainbow. Stand with your back to the sun and spray water with the hose. A rainbow should form in the water droplets.

Density jar
TO single density jar It's easy to create and only uses oil and water. Kids love finding different objects floating in each layer, and if you have more time, you can create a density column with more layers.
