5 steps to repair Microsoft Office – Computerworld

Finally, the SaRA interface for OffScrub appears, as shown in Figure 10. This particular PC is running a subscription version (type = “Click-to-Run”); perpetual versions will appear as Office 2019 or 2021 (or something older, if that’s what you have). Click the check box to remove the corresponding Office installation, and then click the button Next button (bottom right) to continue, as shown in Figure 10.

By clicking NextOffScrub gets to work. First, it detects your chosen installation (this took less than a minute on the X1 Extreme), uninstalls your chosen Office files (about 10 minutes), and cleans up everything related to it that it can find in the registry and Windows file system (over 12 minutes). Then, finally, your old Office installation is gone, gone, gone.

Once OffScrub has finished, you will need to reinstall Office. If you have a current subscription or perpetual edition, you can visit the Microsoft support page “Download and install or reinstall Microsoft 365 or Office 2021…” and follow their instructions.

If you are using an older version of Office, you will need to get the appropriate installer. If you don't have it, you can use HeiDoc.net Microsoft Windows and Office ISO Download Tool to get the version you need. I just checked: it still works for Office versions 2010 to 2019.
