The Ghost of Tsushima port was released yesterday, so our colleagues at TechpowerUp look closer. To measure game performance, 35 graphics cards were put to the test. They include AMD and NVIDIA GPUs, as well as Intel's Arc A770 and A750.
How does Ghost of Tsushima run?
When it comes to VRAM consumption, the game is not very greedy after all. In fact, with the details set to maximum, together with DLSS or FSR with frame generation, memory consumption reaches 11 GB, 11.7 GB with DLSS. Unlike other recent games, such as Hogwarts LegacyGoT feels very light.
And in general, the game will run quite well on a large number of graphics cards. In 1080p we can easily reach 60 fps with an AMD RX 7600 or an 8GB RTX 4060. Intel's Arc A760 also manages to reach this fateful limit.
At 1440p, the game becomes more demanding, but remains accessible. Here you will need an RTX 3070 Ti or an RX 6800 to reach 60 fps. With current generation cards, this translates to RX 7700 XT or RTX 4070 with 73 FPS on average.
However, in UHD the situation is complicated and you will have to resort to higher-end cards like an RTX 3090 Ti or an RX 79000 XT, for example.
In any case, the game runs smoothly, so you don't need a very large GPU to play it. What's more, DLSS, FSR, and Intel's XeSS are built in to give you a little boost when you need it.
