Synology Plus Series NAS Drives (HAT3300)
Synology Plus Series (HAT3300) hard drives are designed to populate your network attached storage (NAS) systems for homes and small businesses.
These Synology Plus Series drives are designed for light to intermediate use. Based on conventional magnetic recording (CMR) technology, they are similar to the WD Red and Seagate Iron Wolf range of NAS drives, with an MTBF of 1 million hours and a rated workload of 180TB per year.
The main advantage of these drives is that their firmware can be automatically updated using DiskStation Manager (DSM) on Synology NAS systems.

The 4TB Synology Plus (HAT3300-4T) HDD commands a slight premium over comparable drives like the 4TB WD Red (Price check) and the 4TB Seagate IronWolf (Price check).

The Synology Plus (HAT3300-4T) 4TB HDD comes in a large cardboard box, with a window to let you look inside.
When you open the box you will see that the disk is well protected. It is sealed in an anti-static bag, placed inside a plastic casing and further protected from shock and vibration by two large foam inserts.
